The Method
Stacey May’s Movement is Medicine class allows you to ‘reprogramme’ your nervous system and change the way your body responds to stress, enabling a self regulated state.
Attendees intuitively tap, massage, and gently rub each body part to a curated music playlist. Sensory circuits (in this case sound and touch ) bring information back to the brain, and motor circuits then send information to muscles and glands instructing the body to move, while highlighting areas of stored emotion and stagnant energy.
Stacey guides attendees to focus on each body part through guided physical touch, an essential component to activate the neural pathways and our very important lymphatic system.

One song daily will reinforce the benefits of these techniques to your nervous system and enable you to achieve a more empowered state of mind and body.

About Me
My dedication to hairdressing for over 20 years and getting much satisfaction from knowing clients have left me feeling better about their appearance and themselves. Listening to people’s life struggles and worries along with battling my own mental and physical health and an unwell little baby that no healthcare professional could get to the bottom of prompted me to look deeper into other ways to help my family, myself and others. I still find joy in hairdressing ( please have a look at my work), but have found inner peace with cultivating my knowledge of movement is medicine something that completely embodies a lot of the modalities i came to intuitively use to regulate my nervous system in my darkest times, I truly believe this to be transformative for our mind body and souls and learning the science behind this method has reinforced this belief even more,

I try to apply some movement is medicine daily and when I’m putting my face oil on every morning is the perfect time, I’m already touching my face and neck so by being more conscious and present as i do it tapping, massaging while incorporating some deep breaths really grounds me into my body for the day
I woke up feeling really bad about some stuff that went on the night before so i had a little dance off while i was getting ready and it helped shift that heavy energy i was still carrying and would have carried on into the day
it put me in a state of gratitude and forgiveness, for myself and others, highly recommend ✨
